Introduction

Established in 2012, the Shih Chien University Doctoral Program in Creative Industries is the first of its kind in Taiwan, officially accredited by the Ministry of Education to be offered within a business school, awarding a Ph.D. degree. The program is distinct from conventional doctoral programs in design, arts, or education colleges, with a specialized focus on cultivating advanced research and innovative solutions to management challenges within the creative industries. The program is open to individuals holding a master’s degree in a related creative industry field or those with a deep interest and significant contributions to the field, aiming to nurture professionals who can serve as high-level consultants or managers in the realm of creative industries.
